Lindberg Tug Boat

Tugboat

This was built from a Lindberg Line tugboat kit that I found in a hobby shop years back. I believe they are discontinued now, but I’m sure they could be found second hand somewhere. They are almost HO scale, and by replacing a few of the over sized details it makes for a good looking model.

Sheepscot Pile Driver

No, not a maritime wrestling move….

This is one of my favorite models, lots of fun to build and it turned out pretty good. Again, its one of those models that moves around a lot on the layout, today it is sitting next to the dock in Port Kelsey.

Prototype curved turnout

Love that geometry!

There is something mesmerizing about the geometry of two parallel rails. This is one of a series of curved turnouts in a yard in Burlington Ont. Proof that the real railroads used them almost as often as we modelers do. But I think ours look better….
